Braniac Takes the Stage! || Injustice 2 Trailer

So the latest trailer for the new WB & DC Entertainment fighting game, Injustice 2, just released. It highlighted the coming of Brainiac. From all the information we have, Brainiac is going to be the big bad of the game when it releases on May 16th, 2017.

From what we see in the trailer, Brainiac seems to be a mid-ranged fighter, preferring using his tendrils than actually fighting hand to hand. He is shown to have some sort of telepathic powers, which is faithful to the comics. In the comics, Brainiac has had a wide range of powers from taking over people's bodies to super strength rivalling that of Superman.

In terms of the storyline, we see that in the trailer the people of Earth are not expecting Brainiac's arrival. Khara seems to know that it is him immediately, meaning that in the Injustice universe, Khara has either encountered him or heard tales of him from when she lived on Krypton. Brainiac tells us through the trailer that, at least in this universe, he was the one that destroyed Krypton. He wiped out all of the Kryptonians and wants to finish the job by taking out Superman. Batman, who we see with Superman at his cell, seems to think that Superman is afraid of him; we also get that phrase from Superman when Batman asks how to take him down, "You can't."

It seems like all of the punches are being pulled for the new Injustice 2, and I cannot wait for the release date in order to beat up all of my favourite characters. If you didn't know, here is a little information about the game:

Injustice 2 is in development by NetherRealm Studios and features a massive roster of DC superheroes and super-villains. This specific version allows the player to power up their favourite heroes into their ultimate form. It is being released for Playstation 4 and Xbox One in the UK on May 16th, 2017.
